OUR SOAP

PHILOSOPHY

SAVE YOUR SKIN AND ALSO YOUR HEALTH!

Do you know that 21% of Singaporeans and over 30 million Americans suffer from eczema? Countless more have other skin problems.

.

Discover the good, the bad and the ugly of the body care world. You might be surprised at what you learn!

Many of us have spent countless hours and dollars trying to find a skin care solution that will work. You might have something you find pretty suitable, but does it cost a bomb? Or will it cause long term skin and health problems? The truth is almost every commercial product on store shelves is not really good for our skin or health!

Most commercial shower foams, gels and cleansers marketed as skincare products are really degreasing detergents. Have a look at the ingredients list on your soap bottle or bar. Or if you’re like us, the next time you are in a store, walk down the bath products aisle and look at the ingredients on the bottles that purport to be baby friendly, gentle, etc., Even those that promise “no more tears” deliver on their claim NOT because they are gentle but because they contain chemicals to numb your babies senses. What about the hypo-allergenic “soap-free” claims? Truth is true soap is good for skin and these “gentle, soap-free” cleansers contain things that are far worse than soap such as sodium lauryl sulfate, cocamidopropyl betaine and muiltiple parabens.

It’s not wonder that so many people suffer from skin problems like eczema, acne, dry, flaky or sensitive skin. But is your skin the real problem? Or is it the chemicals it is exposed to?

Ever had an insect bite? The resultant swelling and itching is our immune system’s natural reaction to combat the invasion of foreign substances. It’s also our body’s way of warning us when it is harmed. See the connection? Bathe yourself with harmful chemicals and your skin dries, flakes, itches or exacerbates eczema.

Take just one example of a chemical commonly found in numerous body washes and shampoos, including those for babies – Cocamidopropyl Betaine. Are you using Dettol, Johnson’s, Dove, Pigeon or practically any commercial washing detergent? Yes, that’s what they really are, detergents marketed as skincare. Check the label, you will find cocamidopropyl betaine among the main ingredients. Now the shocking truth – the rate of allergic reactions to cocamidopropyl betaine is so high that the American Contact Dermatitis Society named it Allergen of the Year in 2004 (Source).

So if you or any of your family members has eczema or skin conditions associated with sensitive skin STOP using that harsh chemical detergent and SWITCH to a natural product. Don’t be fooled by commercial brand products labeled as “natural” or “organic” – most of them base their claims by adding just a few drops of plant extracts to the same chemical crap base. Just check the ingredients list.

By the way, Cocamidopropyl betaine is just one of many questionable chemicals that we are exposed to when using commercial soap.

In the quest to save our skin, we discovered that avoiding all the crap found in commercial products and using nature’s pure goodness resulted in noticeable changes within a week. Skin becomes smoother, more supple and glows with vitality!
